Three important points from ICAI latest notification for CA exams!

On 14th February, ICAI announced the Exam dates for May19 and it contains the three important points which one should not skip.


  • No change in the examination schedule
There was a rumour that due to elections, CA exams would be held in Jun19 instead of the regular May19. But ICAI has clearly emphasised that there would be no change in the examination schedule in the event of any day of the examination schedule being declared a public holiday by the Central Government or any State Government.


  • Duration of Paper
Paper 3 and 4 of Foundation exams would be of two hours each. Elective Paper six of Final examination (new scheme) would be of four hours duration. All other exams would be of three hours only.

  • Advance Reading Time
Paper 3 and 4 of Foundation exams and in International Taxation (Assessment Test) which is a post qualification course there will not be any advance reading time, whereas there would be 15 minutes advance reading time in all other papers.
